Multi-band ionosphere Ultraviolet Spectral Imager (MUSI) on FY-4C is the first quantitative remote sensing imaging payload in China for hyperspectral detection of the ionosphere-thermosphere in the far-ultraviolet band. It makes two breakthroughs: the first domestic ionospheric spectral imager and the first international ionospheric detection over China's region from a geosynchronous orbit.
